Sonya Beyers - Consultant
Sonya has advised many for-profit companies and not-for-profit organisations across a range of industries and sectors during her career, which spans 15 years in various capacities in the legal profession.
Current role
Sonya is a consultant for Boardmatters and assists the governing bodies of companies, organisations and enterprises across Australia with governance advisory services.

Previous legal experience
Sonya has significant experience in providing commercially relevant advice at the planning stage for corporate and trust structures and has provided advice on taxation arrangements. Sonya also has corporate and commercial experience in contract negotiation and company
Sonya was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2006. She has a Bachelor of Laws (Class 2A Honours), is currently studying a Master of Commercial Law at the University of Melbourne.

Jayne Staddon – Consultant
Current role
Jayne is a consultant for Board Matters. She provides the governing bodies of companies, associations, statutory bodies and other organisations with a variety of specialist governance and compliance advisory services.
Previous Legal Experience
Jayne has been practising as a lawyer since 1996. She has provided legal, governance and compliance advice within government and to a range of statutory bodies and government companies. She also has a background in corporate investigations which has provided her with a strong understanding of the legislative requirements and regulatory environment applying to businesses in Australia and overseas.
Jayne holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Business – Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
