Changes to the ''Associations Incorporation Regulation 1999'' gives the Model Rules a fresh look

The ASX Corporate Governance Council has launched a review of its publication “Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Best Practice Recommendations” and has released an explanatory paper on proposed changes to this publication.

A decision handed down by the High Court on 31 August 2006 gives Australian not-for-profits guidance on what it means to be a "charitable body”. Oddly enough, English case law from 1891 gave the High Court much guidance on this issue.
